With Passive Shards, you can roll for new Spec Passives. This new feature in Sailor Piece grants additional buffs for your character, so I highly recommend using them.

Shameless plug, but my Sailor Piece Melee Tier List is also a handy tool to use if you’re new to the game or in the midst of sorting out your build.

Sailor Piece Passive Shards and Spec Passives

To unlock Spec Passives, you need Passive Shards. And to unlock Passive Shards, you have to speak with the Spec Passive NPC. These words have lost all meaning to me now that I’ve had to repeat them so much…

How to Get Passive Shards

Passive Shards can be obtained when defeating any NPC, which isn’t useful, but at least you always have a chance. This chance, however, is quite low, making it a super rare drop. The level of the NPC doesn’t make any difference, so you can still get Passive Shards from the easier mobs.

Make sure you speak to the Spec Passive NPC first; Passive Shards won’t drop until you do this. After you’ve spoken to him, they become a potential drop. To find this NPC, head to Judgement Island.

Don’t get too ahead of yourself, though; there are a couple of other requirements to meet. You need at least 5K Gems to reach level 10,000. At level 10,000, you can work towards unlocking your seventh Ascension, which requires level 9,000 and a whole bunch of other stuff.

All Spec Passives

Spec Passives are additional buffs that you can unlock for your current build. These buffs are universal and work with every fighting style in the game. They mostly boost your DMG, Critical Chance, Critical DMG, and Luck, with a few extras here and there.

Each Spec Passive falls under a rarity, determining its chance of dropping when rolling with a Passive Shard. Legendary and Mythical passives provide the best buffs; however, those that are Common are better than nothing.
