For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, for every Easter Bunny, there is an Evil Bunny… apparently. This antichrist of Easter arrived in Grow A Garden with part 2 of the Easter update, and wants you to do its villainous bidding. It offers great rewards, but everything comes at a cost, and its orders might be terrible for your Easter Garden. Time to explain what you need to know about the Grow A Garden Evil Bunny, and whether your should become its stooge.

All About The Grow A Garden Evil Bunny

Now to the big questions.

What Is The Evil Bunny?

The Evil Bunny is a new NPC that appeared with the second part of the Easter Event. You’ll find him opposite the Candy Blossom stall. The Evil Bunny is the worse, more malevolent version of the Easter Bunny. While the Easter Bunny quests are all about collecting eggs, the Evil Bunny has something more sinister in mind.

What Are Evil Bunny Quests?

When you speak to the Easter Bunny and as for a quest, he will tell you to destroy a particular plant in your garden. This will be whichever garden you have active at the time, your Easter Garden or your regular garden. To destroy the plant in question, you need to take your shovel tool and interact with it. This will get rid of the plant forever. Things like trowels or reclaimers won’t work, you need to use the shovel and permanently destroy the plant. The plant selection is random, but will be something you already have planted. You won’t be asked to destroy any non-renewable crops like Candy Carrots, and crops favourited with the Favouriting Tool are off limits.

Evil Bunny Quest Rewards

Completing a quest from the Evil Bunny gives you one reward from a selection of prizes, listed below.

  • 100 Chocolate Coins
  • Blue Candypop Seed
  • Easter Crate
  • Golden Egg
  • Stork Pet
  • 3 Golden Eggs
  • Orchid Mantis Pet
  • Easter Sprout Seed

The more valuable the plant you sacrificed was, the better chance you have of the higher level rewards, like the Easter Sprout Seed and the Orchid Mantis.

Is It Worth It?

Generally, it’s worth your time to complete an Evil Bunny quest if it’s from your Easter Garden. Given your Easter Crops are temporary, your gain from them really only pertains to the Easter event, while a lot of the Evil Bunny rewards are permanent, so it’s a fair trade-off most times, unless it’s a very high-level crop on the kill list, and you’re still trying to hoard chocolate coins for the Golden Eggs/Candy Blossom grind. Otherwise, have at it.

Shovelling plants in your permanent garden is a bit more of a long-term investment, as you’ll get to keep these beyond the event. We wouldn’t suggest destroying anything super valuable unless you’re incredibly desperate for the Flower Mantis or Easter Sprout.

Top Tip: The Evil Bunny excludes favourited plants, so if there’s something you can’t afford to use, it’s actually easy enough to take it out of the pool.
