What Is The Hunt?

The Hunt is a yearly event on Roblox that has players completing challenges across a number of different games. The aim is to showcase some of the best experiences that the platform has to offer to more players, as well as give people a chance to get their hands on some free UGC. Things are a little different this year, though.

To celebrate twenty years of Roblox, we’re all going back, way back to the first year of the platform, and working our way forwards to 2026. There are twenty different zones, each with their own challenges, and a game connected to them that has its own objective to complete. You can complete the Game Quest to unlock the UGC item for the zone, on a pedestal near the spawn. It’s not yet clear what the Zone Quests do aside from give you an item to mess with in the hub itself, so they are technically optional, but we’d suggest doing them anyway, because they’re sure to contribute to some kind of goal. The Hunt often reveals its secrets later on, so you may as well get ahead of the curve.

Below we’ve listed all the different quests in The Hunt. We’re still working our way through the zones and verifying all the Zone Quests, so if something isn’t filled out yet, check back soon and is should be ready.

2006

The first zone you find yourself in is 2006 and six, the Roblox early days, at the iconic crossroads.

2006 Zone Quest – Find 10 Badges

When you spawn in you’ll see Builderman standing in front of you with a task. He’s lost his badges somewhere around the Crossroads, and he needs you to find all ten of them.

2006 Game Quest – Crossroads

Just behind Builderman is a door leading to a real blast from the past, the game Crossroads. Might feel a bit janky if you’re used to games like Rivals or Arsenal, but call on your shooter instincts anyhow, you’ll need them.

Your objective is to score three knockouts. That means taking out three other players with any of the weapons at your disposal. There are a lot of people in there just figure out how to play the game… so it probably won’t be that hard.

Once you’ve done one of these, you can interact with one of the weird chaotic piles of scrap to pick up your UGC, the Crossroads Tower. After that, interact with the glowing Roblox cube to be transported to the new area, 2007…

2007

New year, new blocky map.

2007 Zone Quest – Press Five Buttons

Speak to Telamon near the spawn, and he’ll ask you to press five buttons spread around the 2007 map.

• 1 – In front of the cage with the noob inside.
• 2 – On a platform across the disappearing floors.
• 3 – Inside the glass tower.
• 4 – In front of the Roblox house.
• 5 – On top of the hill below the giant rocket launcher.

2007 Game Quest – Sword Fight On The Heights IV

This quest sends you to the retro sword fighting game, where you’ll need to find four swords. You already start with the basic one, and there are various others on pedestals around the map. Be careful, this is a PVP game, so other players might rock up to stab you.

Here are the swords available:

• Gold sword. Top platform with the silvery moving walkways.
• Blue sword. At the end of the walkway with the swinging poles.
• Green sword. At the end of a walkway near the red/green button.
• Invisible sword. In a circle of blue flame on the low level, at the end of an invisible walkway.
• Diamond sword. Top of the tallest tower. (Easier if you have the previous one, which lowers your gravity.)

Pick up three of them to complete the quest.

2008

Onto a new map, with lakes, underground secrets, and some freaky thing jumping out of an egg shell.

2008 Zone Quest – Paint The Eggs

Near spawn you’ll find Person299, who wants you to take a paintball gun and paint some eggs around the area. The locations of each are listed below.

• 1 – Top of the blue stairway near the lake.
• 2 – On board the ship in the lake.
• 3 – Inside one of the towers in the blue castle.
• 4 – 3 – Inside one of the towers in the red castle.
• 5 – In the corner of the bottom room in the red castle.
• 6 – Behind the leaderboard.
• 7 – Under the trowel in the giant trowel and hammer prop on the blue castle’s side.
• 8 – Behind the bar in the underground cafe. Guess it… got a job?
• 9 – On one of the cliffs over the lava lake.
• 10 – On top of the snowy hill on the blue castle’s side.

2008 Game Quest – Rocket Arena

2008’s game quest is inside Rocket Arena, and like Crossroads it’s pretty simple.

Score 5 knockouts.

That’s hitting 5 other players (or one more than once) with rockets from your rocket launcher. The controls might take a bit of time to get used to.

Once you’ve done that, you can open the Hunt hub and take the UGC item, the Brick Blast Jetpack.

2009

2009 Zone Quest – Tornado Survival

In 2009 you’re greeted by TheFurryFox, who tells you a tornado is on the way, and you’ll need to outlast it.

This art is simple enough. You just need to hang on until the tornado despawns. It appears to follow you around the map, so just keep moving and avoid getting cornered and you should be fine.

2009 Game Quest – Chaos Canyon

The game quest for this one is Chaos Canyon. It’s another simple one, and if you’ve done the Crossroads and the Rocket Arena quests this should be straightforward for you.

Get 4 KOs. So take out other players with any of the weapons on offer.

Once you’ve got your KOs, reopen the hub experience to get your UGC item, the Crest Of The Canyon.

2010

Onto the next year. 2010 is very much the pizza era, so lean into it.

2010 Zone Quest – Make A Pizza

Head up the steps towards the pizza parlor floating island to speak to Dued1. He challenges you to find dough, sauce, and cheese to make pizza.

Sauce

Up the longest set of stairs. On to of a create next to some spooky shadow creature.

Cheese

Up the shortest set of steps, at the foot of a tree.

Dough

At the top of a wood ramp in the skate park area, between a green and orange skateboard.

Bring them all back to the wooden box next to Dued1 to make the pizza and finish the quest.

Game Quest – Work In A Pizza Parlor

This is a little more complicated than the past ones, but it’s not super hard. Once you head into Work In A Pizza Parlor you can hop in the ‘Event’ rowboat to head to the Hunt event lobby. Sit on a bench to enter the special storyline quest. You, and the other players are pizza parlor staff, and it’s an ordinary day… but someone seems to have lost the secret pizza recipe.

Follow the Detective NPC out to his boat, then speak to the NPC on the island and follow him to his time machine. He’ll take you back to the past, the early days of Work In A Pizza Parlor.

If you want to steal the secret recipe, you’ll need to complete three pizzas. This works a bit like it does in the regular game.

• In the kitchen, take the dog and place it on the working table, put the sauce and right toppings on each base, then move them to the conveyor to go to the oven.
• Head to the packing area. When the pizzas come through, place a box on the conveyor, and a cooked pizza in the box. Do this until all three are packed up.
• Take the pizza boxes outside and deliver them to the correct houses stated.
• Once you’ve done three, head back to the time machine to go back to your own time and… oops.

After you’re done, you can go back to the hob to get your UGC,

2011

Zone Quest – Meteor Shower

Onto 2011.

When you arrive there, speak to Stickmasterluke who seems blissfully unaware of the disaster about to unfold. A meteor shower starts, with rock raising for the sky and hitting where redi indicators appear. Avoid 30 rocks… or don’t. We got flung off the map but we didn’t have to restart, so this one is pretty easy.

Game Quest – Natural Disaster Survival

Head through to 2011’s game and you can check the top of the lobby tower for the quest you need to rescue three animals from the disaster-stricken areas that are the game maps.

The animals are found around the map, and the first person to grab it and survive the round gets it. This does make it one of the more annoying quests in the event currently, as everyone is fighting over the animals right now. We’d suggest if you’re lucky enough to have access to a private server, to do it there instead. If not, just be ready to make a beeline for the closest animal then try to survive the round.

One important note, when you pick up an animal, is becomes strapped to your chest. This means you can’t climb ladders anymore, important to know in disasters like Flash Flood.

Then, re-open the hub to pick up your UGC, the Disaster Forecaster.

2012

ITS RAINING TACOS
TACOS ALL YOU CAN EAT-

Zone Quest- Capture The Flag

You spawn into 2012 Zone to the sound of It’s Raining Tacos to see d4rk886 closeby. Speak to them to get a request to retrieve a flag. This is pretty easy. Head up the hill in the direction the arrow is pointing you. Pick up the flag and hop back down. Just be careful launching off the top, as you can get stuck in the gaps between the platforms.

Game Quest – Base Wars: The Land

We’d not played this game before and it’s got a lot going on and isn’t totally clear about its objectives. It appears to be scoring kills in certain areas. Just play through a match normally once or twice and you should be okay.

Come back to the 2012 hub and pick up the Manliest Man award. Uh. Sure, why not.

2013

Slightly spooky music greets you as you enter year 2013.

Zone Quest – Gear Scavenging

Here, speak to Gusmanak, the guy in the golden Dominus, who tells you to ‘Gear up before the best loot is gone.’ You need to find three bits of gear around the map.

Beans – You can find there in the being house near spawn.

Medkit – You can find this in one of the medical tents near the helipad.

Cola – You’ll find this in a crypt in the cathedral-like building.

Game Quest – Apocalypse Rising 2

This quest is dedicated to the OG Apocalypse Rising, and the devs have brought back the old map for The Hunt. To complete these quest you have three main objectives, broken up into smaller ones.

• Find the loot. Get hold of the following:
  • One Primary Weapon
  • One Backpack
  • One Melee Weapon
• Zombie Hunter
  • Kill 5 Zombies
• Explore And Survive Take some time to explore the new map by completing the following:
  • Take 5000 steps.
  • Witness a sunrise or a sunset.

You can complete the objectives in any order. None of them actually involve PVP, but some players want to watch the world burn, so may come after you anyway.

With these done you can go back to the 2013 lobby to pick up the UGC, the Biting Bloxikin.

2014

Onto the land of speedrunning and murder mysteries in 2014.

Zone Quest – Race Track

Speak to Nikilis who’ll tell you about the race to the finish. Run through each of the gold bands on the track and follow the track up to the top. On running through the white archway it’ll throw you back down to the start.

Game Quest – Murder Mystery 2

In this quest you need to collect 50 Coins. You’ll find these scattered around all the MM2 player maps. They respawn throughout the active playtime. This has a similar issue to Natural Disaster Simulator where everyone is after the Coins, but it’s not quite as bad. You don’t need to get 50 in one round, and it doesn’t matter if you survive a round either, so just be patient and you’ll hit the total.

Head to the town area of the 2014 hub to get the UGC item, the Knife-Dodger’s Bighead.

2015

It’s getting pretty industrial in 2015, with lumber and ore processing as the flavour.

2015 Zone Quest – You’re The Ore

Welcome to a new year! Turn around and talk to berezaa, who needs some ore for the processor… and that ore is you. It’ll be fine. Probably. Just hit the button and go through the ore processor to complete the quest.

Game Quest – Lumber Tycoon 2

In this quest you need to get wood for Geck, a down-on-his-luck NPC round the side of the shop. You need to drop wood into the box (dumpster?) next to him. If you’re not familiar with the game, you can’t actually just dump whole trees in, there is a process.

• Get an axe from the shop by taking it over to the register, placing it on there, and speaking to the cashier to pay. Then open the box and equip your new axe.
• Head to a tree, equip the axe, and tap a part of the trunk repeatedly to strike it with the axe until it falls.
• Cut the tree’s trunk and branches apart with the axe to make logs, it’s easier to take the whole tree over to Geck and do this near him.
• Drop the logs into the box/dumpster.
• It should be around two normal trees worth of wood to complete the quest.

Return to the 2015 hub to get the Leather Adventure Backpack.

2016

Ten years into Roblox history, and halfway through the quests. Keep pushing forward.

Zone Quest – Tix Spending Spree

When you enter the 2016 hub you’ll meet Cindering, who challenges you to spend all the Tox he’s given you on the nearby button… 5 million Tix to be exact. Just keep hitting the button. You’ll get a Jukebox for your trouble.

Game Quest – Roblox High School

Head out the front of the school to speak to Chuck, an unfortunate student who sent himself forward in time. After breaking the sad news to him that Tix no longer exist, he asks if you can help him graduate.

Go to the front desk and speak to Brian, with the dialogue option ‘There’s an old student who needs help…’ , then ‘Chuck E from 2016’. Brian should give you Chuck’s class schedule.

Go back to Chuck, he’ll ask you to help with completing the work he needs to finish.

Chemistry

Head to the library, on the upper floor. Talk to Bridgette the Librarian, who is standing in a corner. When you’ve got her permission, you can pick up the green Chem 2 book on the shelf diagonally opposite her.

Math

Once you go back to Chuck he’ll move onto math. He wants you to do his test for him, which is questionable, but y’know you’re helping him cheat, we’ll help you cheat too.

• 14 + 15 =
• 8 * 5 =
• 50- 25 =
• 63 / 7 =
• 9 * 8 + 23 – 23 =
• What is the square root of 25?
• If a taco costs $3, a latte costs $5, and a cookie costs $2, hpw much did Linda spend if she bought 4 tacos, 4 lattes, and 5 cookies?
• 24 Redcliff Knights enter battle against 40 Korblox Warriors. One fourth of each army is defeated at the start. Then, one half of the remaining Korblox warriors manage to defeat one Redcliff Knight each, before the Korblox Army is fought back and defeated. How many Redcliff Knights are left standing?
• How much to you love school? Please provide a whole number between 1 and 48328
• Jimothy is travelling 150 calories per hours at a speed of 20 buildermans. Is the cheezburger is 50 cubic nanoseconds with a volume of 35 degrees per fluid ounce, what will John’s gravitational force be if you divide the fried chicken by zero?
  • Type anything here.

History

For the final quest, Chuck will give you a Metal detector and send you to find some buried relics.

• 1 – To the left of the path leading toward the woods.
• 2 – On the right end of the beach.
• 3 – Next to one of the trees behind Club Red.

Take everything back to Chuck, speak to Brian again, and finally let Chuck know the good news to finish the quest.

Then you can return to the hub for your own reward, the Time Travel Schoolpack.

2017

Things are getting watery, and criminal in 2017 Zone.

2017 Zone Quest – Escape The Flood

Enter 2017 and speak to asimo3089.He’ll tell you a flood is on the way. Run into the building next to him where you’ll find a parkour course. You’ll need to make your way up is as the waters rise. The flood is pretty slow, but unlike some zone quests you CAN fail this one and need to restart, so don’t get careless. Reach the top and hit the button to complete it.

2017 Game Quest – Jailbreak

In this quest you need to find multiple important persons lost around the map. You have to walk up and hold the interact command with them to rescue them. This is generally a lot easier if you’re on the Police Team, as you can immediately use a helicopter and just fly to the locations.

• Maplestick – Railway Station
• Kreekcraft – Donut Shop
• Jane Doe – Outside the Museum
• Guest417 – Jailbreak Prison
• DenisDaily – On the roof of the jewelers in Rising City.

Once you’ve rescued all of them, you can go back to the hub and claim your Bandit’s Bandana.

We’re breaking rocks and building boats for this year.

2018 Zone Quest – Mine Time

Speak to chillthrill709, the fellow in the Steampunk fit, and he’ll tell you there are ores in a nearby wall that need hitting.

Equip the pick and begin hitting it against the wall to the right of chillthrill.

• The first wall goes down after 15 clicks.
• Second after 30 clicks.
• Third after 60 clicks.
• Once they’re broken you’ll free a family of gubbies inside.

Speak to the NPC again for a pickaxe.

Game Quest – Build A Boat For Treasure

You’ll find a bunch of noobs in absolute despair, it’s Roblox’s 20th Birthday, and there’s no cake. You’ll need to build a boat and head to the bakery to go make one.

• Build a boat. Using the default parts should do it.
• Launch your boat and head to the third stage, the Bakery area.
• Once you’re there, you need to collect the ingredients. Sail into the milk, butter, and egg items.
• Once you’ve done all three, it’ll play a cutscene, and make the cake.
• After that you’re done, head back to the hub.

With the cake made, you can pick up your UGC, the Build A Boat Top Hat.

2019

2019 Zone Quest – Hatch A Pet

After you spawn into 2019, you’ll run into NewFissy, who asks you about hatching pet eggs.
You’re instructed to collect Robux to get an egg. Luckily, it’s not real Robux. You’ll find it around the map.

• You’ll find the first next to the big gumball machine.
• You can find the second at the top of a stairway next to the football field.
• In front of the small red house.

Take them to the big gumball machine and use it to get an egg, and hatch a… gubby?

2019 Game Quest – Adopt Me!

Get $400. You can generally get this just by doing the tutorial stuff and fulfilling needs for a pet.

• Head to the center of town, where the Throwbakc Egg, a pink and blue striped egg, sits on a pedestal.
• Hatch the Throwback Egg by fulfilling its needs.
• Once the egg is hatched, the question is done, check in with the quests on the left side of the screen and hit the ‘Claim’ button next to the 20 Quest on the Task Board.

Now you can grab your UGC.

2020 Zone Quest – Treasure Hunting

Now you’re in the new year, go speak to the bunny-eared NPC Kensai666. He wants you to dig up some buried treasure. Whne you take the quests, one of the Xs on the map will show up red. Head over to that one, a shovel should appear in your hands. Dig up the treasure and then return to Kensai to complete the quest.

You’ll get a sword for your trouble.

2020 Game Quest – World // Zero

To complete this, you’ll need to reach the hub area to start it. That might mean completing the tutorial if you’ve never played the game before. Once you’ve reached the town square, hit the 20 icon in the bottom right corner to start the quest.

Teleport to the OG Tower. You’ll need to defeat all the enemies on two of the floors, and defeat the boss, Zeus, at the top. You’ll have a Level 85 bot follower along with you to help you out, and it’s easy enough.

You can then come back to claim the UGC, Hounds Of The Zero.

2021 Zone Quest – Key Hunt

Head over and speak to the trilby-wearing Minitoon. He wants you to find some keys scattered over the island. These appear to spawn in different places each time you try it, and may be a little buggy, as it doesn’t always appear to spawn all five.

This one is simple enough. Play Piggy and escape two maps.

2022 Game Quest – Berry Avenue

In the Berry Avenue quest, you’ll need to succeed at several different jobs around the town.

• Doctor – Use the right tools to assist the sick patient.
• Police – Escort the suspect to a cell and close it.
• Cabin Crew – Bring the correct food orders to the passengers.

2023 Game Quest – Blade Ball

To complete the Blade Ball quest you’ll need to find Tix. These are dropped by The Knight, an NPC that can spawn in the arena during a match, resembling a figure with blue armor. If the ball hits the NPC, they’ll drop Tix. You need to rush over and pick them up… just be aware everyone else will be after them too. One you have three, go back to The Knight in the lobby area to finish the quest.

2023 Game Quest – Dress To Impress

This one is pretty simple. Head into the event area from the menu, and finish two rounds. You don’t actually need to win or place, so you can try as hard as you want, or not try at all. You just need to show up.

2023 Game Quest – Grow A Garden

Finally, you need to try and steal crops from the Wise Owl’s Garden, a section at the end of the field. When you grab crops, the Wise Owl will try to chase you. The more crops your grab, the more points, but the slower you move. The owl will chase you. You’ll need to run across the field, being chased, and reach the area on the other side with Sam stood inside it. Talk to him to hand the fruits over. You need 50 in total to finish.
