Grow a Garden Night Staff
The Lunar Update introduced a new piece of gear. The Night Staff resembles a long staff with a half-moon at the top of it, and aside from looking nice, it also has an interesting ability!
What Does The Night Staff Do?
When placed down, it will randomly select a crop in your garden and give it the Moonlit Mutation. This mutation is available during the night, and it is rare to happen. With this staff, the chances of your fruit becoming Moonlit get buffed, increasing your overall chances. Night happens once an hour and lasts 10 minutes, and it can also stack with other weather events.
Sadly, the staff has a usage of 6. This means that after you place the staff down 6 times, it will disappear, and you’ll need to obtain another.
How To Obtain
You will obtain the Night Staff once you have earned 40, 110, 250, and 360 Lunar Points by handing over fruits. This is part of the new Lunar Event update, so I’ll quickly explain what’s going on!
In the centre of the map, you will find the Wise Old Owl who asks for Moonlit Fruits. Moonlit is a mutation your crops get during the night-time, and when you hand a fruit over that has the mutation, you will get Lunar Points.
The amount of Lunar Points you get depends on the rarity of the crop you are handing over. As you need a few to get the Night Staff, it may take a while before you have enough.
