Is the Grow a Garden Honey Sprinkler worth getting? I take a closer look at what the Gear type does and whether it’s in any way a useful addition to your plot in Grow a Garden.
Grow a Garden Honey Sprinkler
All about the Honey Sprinkler and whether it’s worth the Honey!
What the Honey Sprinkler Does
So, what does it do? When active, it works similarly to the other sprinklers in the game in that it affects the crops within the radius around it. All nearby crops gain the Honey Glazed mutation, which increases the selling value by 5x. It lasts for a total of 60 seconds, so I recommend placing it in an area that has lots of crops positioned close together.
Should You Buy the Honey Sprinkler in Grow a Garden?
The only thing that makes the Honey Sprinkler valuable is the fact that there are only two ways of obtaining Honey Glazed crops. Apart from the sprinkler, the second way is by placing the Bear Bee pet in your garden. The Bear Bee applies the Honey Glazed mutation every 25 minutes to a random crop, whereas the Honey Sprinkler affects all nearby crops.
Now, the main thing that puts me off the Honey Sprinkler is the fact that you cannot obtain Honey in return for crops with the Honey Glazed mutation. To get the Honey currency, the crops you exchange must have the Pollinated mutation, and not the Honey Glazed one. This means the only benefit to the Honey Sprinkler is that the nearby crops can sell for 5x the standard selling price.
How to Get the Honey Sprinkler
The Divine rarity Honey Sprinkler is a type of Gear that you can obtain via the Honey Shop during the Bizzy Bees event. It costs a total of 30 Honey, which is a little steep, and requires exchanging 30kg worth of crops with the Pollinated mutation.
To access the Honey Shop, go to the event area in the middle of the server and speak with the Queen Bee. Select the option, ‘I want to trade Honey’ to open the shop window! The Honey Sprinkler isn’t always available, so you may have to wait until the next shop restock.
