The Hive Fruit isn’t the rarest plant from the Bizzy Bee update; that title is instead reserved for the Sunflower. However, comparing the two, it’s clear that the Hive Fruit is better long-term for profits. So, does this mean that the new Grow a Garden Hive Fruit dethrones the Candy Blossom as the new meta plant? Find out in this guide!

Grow a Garden Hive Fruit Overview

Hive Seeds cost 40 Honey, traded with the Queen Bee NPC found at the centre of the map. To earn Honey, exchange Pollinated crops with the Honey Combpresser NPC next to the Queen Bee, and he will give you this new limited currency. Per 10 Honey, you need to exchange 10kg of Pollinated crops.

But, don’t hold your breath. This Mythical Seed doesn’t often appear in restocks. You’ll need to check the Queen Bee shop hourly at XX:00 when the Bee Swarm event triggers to see if it’s available.

Once planted, this seed flourishes into a multi-harvest tree with several places for fruiting bodies. Similar to the Candy Blossom! In the first paragraph, I stated that this plant is better than the Sunflower, despite being of lesser rarity. This is due to the Sunflower only producing one harvestable crop at a time, versus the Hive Fruit, which creates between 5-10. If left to mutate over time, the Hive Fruit will create more profits quicker on average.

So, that leaves the question…

Does It Beat The Candy Blossom?

Not exactly, but that’s okay! If you’re like me and missed out on the Candy Blossom during its release, the Hive Fruit is the next best thing. Plus, if you plant just two of them, then they become, on average, as valuable as a single Candy Blossom tree.

A single, average, unmutated Hive Fruit typically sells for 45,000+, versus the Candy Blossom at 90,000+. That’s double the value!
