Dig Best Shovels
What are the best shovels to use in Dig, and how do you get them?
Starfire Shovel
What makes the Starfire Shovel one of the best options in Dig is its passive ability. Each time you dig, you have a 35-40% chance of getting an item that has the Celestial modifier.
This modifier offers one of the highest multipliers in the game, increasing the selling value of the item by 4x. There are only two ways of getting this modifier, and that’s via the Starfire Shovel and the Celestial Totem.
The high drop rate of a Celestial item means that you’ll more than likely collect plenty of them as you go along.
How to Get the Starfire Shovel
You can purchase this shovel for 600K coins atop a crashed meteorite when the Meteor Shower weather event is active.
Solstice Shovel
The Solstice Shovel doesn’t offer the best Luck stat, but it does come with an excellent passive ability that makes it stand out. The shovel has a +1 chance of getting Shiny items, which sell for 3x more than the usual price. There are a few ways of getting this modifier, but the Solstice Shovel is the best passive option.
Plus, if you equip the Solstice Bell Charm to the Solstice Shovel, your Luck increases by 15 and Haste increases by 3. This gets rid of the downside of the shovel, which is its low Luck stat. With the +15 boost, you get a total of 20 Luck.
How to Get the Solstice Shovel
The Solstice Shovel costs 190K coins from the Solstice Shrine, which is located within the Solstice Cavern. You cannot access the shovel until you place 3 Basilisks on the pedestals at the Shrine.
