As the sky turns purple and sparkles appear, the Supernova event arrives, but what does it do?
What is the Supernova Event?
Supernova is an example of a Weather Event. This alters the appearance of the server and grants an event-exclusive modifier for your items. The modifier is ‘Supernova’, which increases the selling value of an item by 2.7x.
This event is the only way to get the Supernova modifier. It is not obtainable via certain shovels, Charms, or Enchantments. This modifier also does not show up in the Appraisal pool when you speak to the Appraiser NPC.
When Does the Supernova Event Spawn?
The Supernova Weather Event spawns at random and activates via an admin. This is usually due to a command that the average player does not have access to. Unlike other events, the Supernova does not randomly spawn on a server. It’s not clear whether or not you have to be on the same server as the admin, or if it can happen in all servers at once.
Admin-exclusive Events
The Supernova event isn’t the only one that can only be activated by admins! Other Weather Events, such as the Money Shower, Hurricane, and When Pigs Fly, do not spawn at random.
At times, an admin may display a message at the top of your screen to create hype amongst players. Other times, they may just activate a weather event as a surprise.
These events offer exclusive modifiers and buffs, hence why they are so rare. If you play the game often, there’s a chance you’ll get to experience an admin-only event!
