Let’s investigate the Grow a Garden Petal Bee, its uses, and which crops are best to place in your garden for it. This pet is similar, in ways, to the Queen Bee, which can be obtained via the Grow a Garden Bizzy Bee event.

The Benefits of the Petal Bee
Like the other Bee pets in Grow a Garden, the Petal Bee can pollinate a random crop by flying over to it. This occurs every 25 minutes!
This crop then gains the Pollinated mutation, which sells for 3x the base selling value, but can also be used when acquiring Honey by placing Pollinated crops into the Honey Combpresser machine in the Bizzy Bees event area.
What makes this Bee pet different to the others is that it comes with an additional passive ability that directly affects Flower crops. Each time you harvest a flower, there is a 1% chance that the crop remains, allowing you to harvest it again.
Some flowers are multi-harvest anyway, whereas others are single-harvest plants. The Petal Bee works best with all types of flowers, but the ability to basically duplicate a single-harvest crop is handy. Though I recommend planting multi-harvest flowers in general.
Multi-harvest Flowers
- Rose
- Lilac
- Sunflower
- Foxglove
- Purple Dahlia
- Pink Lily
- Lotus
Single Harvest Flowers
- Orange Tulip
- Daffodil
- Nightshade
- Candy Sunflower
How to Get the Petal Bee
If you haven’t managed to get a Petal Bee yet, then here’s how to obtain one! You need to hatch Bee Eggs in hopes that the Petal Bee drops. The Petal Bee pet is of the Legendary rarity and has a 4% drop rate once the egg is ready to hatch.
Obtaining Bee Eggs requires you to spend 18 Honey from the Honey Shop during the Bizzy Bees event. The Bee Egg is not always available in the Honey Shop, but the stock refreshes every hour.
