Best Runes for Late Game Pickaxes in The Forge

Arcane Pickaxe Runes

• Mine Power: +15% extra Mining Damage (x3)

There isn’t much the Arcane Pickaxe cannot do. It’s one of the fastest with mine speed, has exceptional luck that’s only a fraction less than the Demonic, and it’s already quite the hitter.

Giving this Pickaxe additional Mining Power with x3 Mine Power Runes will make it break late-game nodes such as Basalt Veins much quicker, making Ore mining more efficient and smooth.

If you don’t want to focus solely on power, then swap out one of the Runes for Luck to gain an additional 16% Luck Increase.

• Luck Boost: 50%

Demonic Pickaxe Runes

• Swift Mining: +12% Faster Mining (x1)
• Mine Power: +15% extra Mining Damage (x2)

The Demonic Pickaxe has one major drawback: its negative mining speed, making it slower than the average Pickaxe from Stonewake. This is why it’s so important to increase its Mining Speed using a rune, so that it’s more balanced out and less of a slog to use.

As for Mining Power, this stat makes it easier for this Pickaxe to break powerful nodes such as the Basalt Vein. In conjunction with the Speed Rune, it makes this Pickaxe way more efficient when mining.
