Blade and Soul NEO Classes
There are 14 classes in total to choose from in Blade and Soul NEO. Let’s delve into them further!
Assassin
- Difficulty: On the harder side! Requires tactful thinking to execute properly
Prioritising stealth, the Assassin lays down traps to surprise enemies. They can inflict enemies with Poison and Bleeding damage, which are examples of Damage Over Time attacks. As well as this, they also utilise explosives to deal damage and cover the battlefield in smoke, making it harder for enemies to see them coming.
Blade Master
- Difficulty: Tricky to get right – requires much practice!
Defensive and strong when dealing damage, the Blade Master relies on fast movements, making them an agile class to choose. When playing as a Blade Master, you must become an expert in parrying and dodging oncoming attacks from enemies. Switch between the Draw Stance and the Basic Stance to determine what moves you can perform in combat.
Destroyer
- Difficulty: Fairly easy to master
Cleave your way through enemies as a Destroyer. Grab enemies, putting you in the driving seat of destruction. You can throw enemies into other targets and you are able to defend yourself in combat, what’s not to love?
Force Master
- Difficulty: Easy to use but you need to stay at a distance the majority of the time
The Force Master is a ranged class that can deal high amounts of damage from afar. They don’t have much defence, so keeping them at a safe distance from enemies is a key part of mastering this class. You can utilise the power of fire or ice in battle, freezing enemies or burning them.
Kung Fu Master
- Difficulty: One of the more difficult classes to get used to
Kick and punch your way through battle. Prioritise counter-attacks when striking enemies, utilising both defensive and offensive moves. You rely on combos whilst taking part in battles, making this a class for those who love melee combat.
Summoner
- Difficulty: An easy one to learn, but needs a bit of practice when utilising both the supportive and offensive abilities
As a Summoner, you get to have a Familiar by your side. Whilst you remain at a distance by striking the enemy with ranged attacks, your Familiar goes straight into the battle and deals melee damage. This class is also great in a team due to its ability to revive downed allies and drain the HP of enemies to then replenish their own.
Blade Dancer
- Difficulty: A normal class to learn, but takes some getting used to due to its high-speed
Whilst the Blade Dancer uses a sword, they excel the best at moving around the battlefield at a fast pace. This makes it hard for enemies to pinpoint their location, allowing the Blade Dancer to approach the blindside with ease. They can also wield magical abilities, making it an all-around fun class to play. Keep an eye on your Focus meter though!
Warlock
- Difficulty: There are a lot of abilities to familiarise yourself with, but it pays off!
A magic user who wields the power of darkness. Whilst you attack at range, you can’t stray too far from the battlefield. Utilise Talismans to deal damage to enemies or protect yourself.
You can summon weapons, such as chains to hold targets in place. With the Thrall, you can deal additional damage as you inflict opponents with debuffs.
Soul Fighter
- Difficulty: A fun class to play, which almost feels like two classes rolled into one!
A melee class that can deal explosive amounts of damage at close range… and from far away! They’re quick, making it easy to evade oncoming attacks.
Switch stances to determine whether you want to fight up close and personal or from afar. Increase your Chi to unlock the ability to unleash a devastating attack upon your enemies.
Gunslinger
- Difficulty: An easy ranged class
Become a dual-wielding pistol fighter! You have a grappling hook too, which you can use to pull enemies in. Gunslingers are agile in battle, allowing them to quickly move across the field whilst showering the enemy with bullets. There’s also the aspect of utilising Shadow and Flame elements, which infuse your attacks, increasing their power.
Warden
- Difficulty: There are a lot of cogs in the machine for the Warden! It can be tricky to learn all of them at once
A true knight, with a large greatsword that they swing in battle. This class is ideal for players who prefer to play as a tank, as you can defend yourself whilst dealing the strongest of attacks.
Despite the big sword, they’re surprisingly agile. Choose between Frost or Lightning, which allows you to wield elements in battle, including the moon and sun.
Zen Archer
- Difficulty: This class prioritises the usage of arrows, which sounds easy, but with no extra help from additional powers, it can be difficult!
With a bow and arrow, the Zen Archer remains at a distance to keep away from the fray. Adapt to the power of Wind or Light, both of which grant you the ability to weave in and out of attacks, precisely striking enemies where it hurts the most.
Astromancer
- Difficulty: The ability to move around means you have to get used to the best positions in battle
Become one with the stars as you unleash powerful attacks upon your enemies. Not only that, but you can also summon the strength of a storm too. With strong agility, Astromancers can alter their form, making it easier to traverse across the field to a better spot.
Cast meteor showers or summon black holes that stop enemies in their tracks – only if you pick the Starcaster path though! As a Stormweaver, you utilise lightning in your strikes.
Dual Blade
- Difficulty: If you choose the Way of the Shifting Blades, this becomes one of the hardest classes to learn
Wield two blades in battle, with a speed that defies sound. Collect harmonic energy with the Way of the Lotus or choose to be a part of the Way of the Shifting Blades, which features a range of stances that alter how you perform in combat.
