Blox Fruits update 30 is nearly here, and its trailer and showcase revealed a new mechanic that’s going to change how you explore the early game islands. The Blox Fruits Island Secrets are an incentive to get to to look closely at the revamped islands, because there are fun new objectives and rich rewards out there if you can find them. And we ARE going to find them. This guide is a spot for all the information we can gather about every Island Secret, and we’re going to be adding info throughout the update weekend.

Blox Fruits Island Secrets

Now, onto the important stuff.

What Are Island Secrets?

Island Secrets are a new mechanic that comes with Update 30, and currently are focused around the First Sea. They’re a set of secret three objectives found in each island in the sea, and each gives a special task to do. They might be a special combat session, helping an NPC, completing a puzzle… all kinds of things to give you a break from killing ten bandits.

Blox Fruits Island Secrets Locations

Here we’re recording what islands have Island Secrets, and what the secrets are. We’ll be fleshing out the objectives live at the time Update 30 drops, so make sure to drop in then as we add more content.

Pirate Village Island

There are three Island Secrets in Pirate Village.

Secret One

Secret one is found behind a door near the square in Pirate Village. You should see the saloon door shaking. Head inside to find some pirates causing trouble for the tavern owner inside. Wipe the floor with the misbehaving pirates then speak to the owner NPC for your reward. This was the first Island Secret revealed, showing in the showcase video.

Secret Two

We’re pretty sure the second of the secrets here has something to do with the tower in the square where you first first the pirates. Try and get up there and take a look.

Secret Three

This secret seems to tie into the Chef boss, found on the balcony on the upper level of the island. You’ll need to activate, and probably fight a powered up form of the boss.

Island Secret Rewards

Screen from a Blox Fruits cutscene showing the Tavern Owner NPC, a man with white hair, a moustache, and a chef's hat, thanking the player for helping clear some pirates out of his tavern.

There are three different rewards for completing different Island Secrets.

Secret-Specific Rewards

These particular rewards come from the NPC connected to the Secret in question, or are found while pursuing the Secret itself.

Secret Levels

Once you’ve completed an Island Secret, you can return to the island’s Quest Giver. They will reward you with additional levelling XP. I know, you might be reading that and thinking ‘Oh, XP, like I get from every bandit I punch, big deal.’ This is different. Levels you gain from Island Secrets can go beyond the level cap. Post-Update 30, if you beat all the objectives, you’ll be able to go as high as Level 3000.

Teleporter

The final reward is more of a convenience than anything. Once you’ve completed all three of the Island Secrets for a specific item, you unlock it as a teleport location, accessible through the new teleporter found in Middle Town. This is pretty convenient as it lets you get around instantly…especially handy for events.

FAQ

We want to make this guide of ours as comprehensive as possible, so this covers everything that we think might be helpful that we didn’t fully cover above.

  • When do Island Secrets arrive?
    • Island Secrets come with Update 30, which arrives on Saturday 5th of September at 3:00pm BST.
  • Where did you get your info?
  • Are you updating this with all the locations?
    • Yes. We’ll be on top of this as soon as the update drops, and adding in all the Island Secret locations as we find them, so expect new live updates throughout Saturday post-release.
  • Will there be Island Secrets for the Second Sea and Third Sea?
    • While there’s nothing officially confirmed for this, we can pretty confidently assume there will be. If not at the time of the update, sometime in future updates. 30 seems to be pretty focused on giving the slightly neglected First Sea some love, so we expect to see the rest arriving a bit later.
  • Why is there a face in the sky pre-update?

Hope this has helped you out with the Blox Fruits Island Secrets. If anything is missing right now, it’s probably because we’re still testing or fact-finding in-game. Please do check back from time to time, as you should find new info added.
