The Blood Moon event boss!

Dire Wolf Location

You can find the Dire Wolf boss within the Cinder Cavern. The Blood Moon event must be active for it to spawn, and the boss itself appears every 4 hours.

It’s a good idea to keep an eye on the game, as there is an announcement that lets you know 60 seconds before it spawns, giving you a chance to make your way to the Cinder Cavern location, and again once it appears.

Once you enter the Cinder Cavern, you can easily spot the Dire Wolf boss, as it spawns at the bottom of the slope, and there is a tag on screen to let you know exactly where it is.

Dire Wolf Drops

What does the Dire Wolf drop upon defeat? There are a variety of items, as well as coins, EXP, and Blood Moon Chests.

  • 1 to 3 Dire Scepters (100% drop chance)
  • Fanged Shovel (20% drop chance)
  • Dire Wolf (15% drop chance)
  • Dire Wolf Sticker (10% drop chance)
  • Blood Moon Sticker (5% drop chance)
  • 4 to 7 Blood Moon Chests (100% drop chance)
  • 2K to 2.5K in-game coins
  • 1.2K to 1.4K EXP

Fanged Shovel

The Fanged Shovel has a 20% chance of dropping from the Dire Wolf boss. When using this shovel, you deal double the amount of DMG when the Blood Moon event is active. It also grants a 25% chance of an item having the Clawed mutation, which increases the selling value by 1.5x.
