How to Get Characters in Duet Night Abyss

If you’ve been following updates regarding Duet Night Abyss, you might already know that the game has changed from a gacha to a regular title. Yep, that’s right, the characters and weapons are now completely free for all players. You just need to play the game to unlock the various characters and weapons!

While Duet Night Abyss is still a live service, it features no gacha mechanics. The only way to spend money in the game is to purchase cosmetics. This should mean that there are no premium currencies to purchase in the game, as they are not required.

Duet Review

My brain shouldn’t be able to contemplate what Duet is throwing at me. There are white blocks zipping towards me, and not only do I have to dodge them once, but I’m being asked to dodge them twice simultaneously. Yet here I am, ducking and diving and rotating for my life, keeping those little balls of red and blue alive… well, for the most part anyway.I remember watching videos of Duet before I played it, and thinking that what I was witnessing just wasn’t possible – these glowing heroes dancing around the incoming, unrelenting walls of doom with relative ease and vigor. Having now blasted my way through Duet, and despite having died many, many times over, I feel this incredible rush and excitement at knowing that my brain is capable of parsing these ridiculous situations at breakneck speed. Duet is a game all about challenging your eyes to stay focused, and managing to overcome adrenaline-filled adversity.Red and blue are two orbs, stuck to a circular track. They’re forced to always be opposite each other, meaning that as one attempts to dodge around obstacles, the other must move around the circle to match their movements – potentially crashing head-first into a different obstacle. Duet asks you to keep both orbs alive, tossing and turning around obstacles in the most bizarre and seemingly impossible ways.

Time Surfer creator announces new action game called Duet

From Kumobius, creator of the fantastic Time Surfer and Bean’s Quest, comes a mesmerizing new action game called Duet. Described as a “hex-like” game of sorts that achieves an elegant presentation through a sleek minimalist design, Duet tasks players with maneuvering two different colored orbs through an increasingly difficult maze of falling objects. The orbs are linked together in a small circular orbit, and players simply have to rotate the chain to the left or the right in order to dodge the blocky and rectangular obstacles that get in their way.Primarily a game about reflexes, and how fast you can get yours to react, just from watching the debut gameplay trailer of Duet in action, I can already tell that this one is going to join the ranks of games like Super Hexagon in providing an insanely challenging and “twitchy” experience: and I, for one, am totally all for that. With over 50 edge-of-your-seat stages, an endless Survival mode that you can use to brag to your friends, and a mystifying narrative that slowly begins to unfold, Duet is already shaping up to be a deep and engrossing mobile experience that is surely not to be missed.But the coolest thing we’ve seen about the game so far is that every time you make a mistake in Duet, the orbs will splatter red and blue paint on the pristine white obstacles: to serve as a constant reminder of where you went wrong. Duet is currently expected to launch on iOS devices sometime in Q4 2013.
