Fisch Bubble Mermaid Guide
If you’ve ever watched the One Piece Sabaody and Fishman Island arcs, the Bubble Mermaid may seem… Familiar. In exchange for finding 3 Resins from Mushgrove, she will create an impenetrable bubble that outlasts any diving equipment, allowing you to breathe underwater for a ridiculously long time. The Water Bubble surpasses the Advanced Diving Gear as its indirect upgrade.
Obtaining Resin
Resin doesn’t appear in the Mushgrove Swamp Bestiary, likely due to its ‘Secret’ rarity. Or, maybe the simpler explanation is that it’s solely a quest item with no other purposes as of the Atlantis update. Because it has no Bestiary entry, it has no catch information. This makes finding Resin quite the challenge as Time, Weather, Season and Bait won’t increase encounter rates.
Also, despite being a quest item, the Bubble Mermaid’s request for Resin doesn’t appear in a player’s active quest log, unlike that of the Angler NPCs. Again, this could be due to its Secret rarity.
Water Bubble Stats
With all 3 Resin to hand and 25,000 C$ later, the Bubble Mermaid crafts a Water Bubble. Once equipped, it provides 9 minutes of oxygen before the player drowns. Whilst this is a generous amount of air, it’s unnecessary to explore all of Atlantis. Fortunately, the gear obtained from the buoys near and inside The Desolate Deep provides more than enough for keen explorers. So, unless you like being underwater, you can probably save time and credits and skip fishing for Resin.
