Ghoul RE Kakuja

Kakuja is an extra ability that players can unlock with the V2 variant of their current Kagune.

How to Unlock Kakuja in Ghoul RE

The steps and requirements to unlock your Kakuja.

Check Your RC

Firstly, you need to visit the hospital building and search for the Mimir G. Mado NPC – he stands behind the main reception desk and is a Second Class Investigator. He asks if you want him to run some tests, which you should reply to by selecting the ‘Yes please’ option.

This is how to check how much RC your character has! To unlock your Kakuja, you need a total of 2.5 million RC. But, you also need RC to upgrade your Kagune to V2!

Visit Z

Once you have the correct amount, head to the construction yard area in the main city where there are lots of shipping containers. There’s an NPC called Z who sits on one of the green containers, higher up. If a Permadeath event is not currently active on the server, this NPC is like any other regular character. But, if Permadeath is active, his dialogue changes, letting you know how your Kakuja progress is going.

Kakuja Requirements

On top of the 2.5 million RC, you also need to reach the SSS Rank, which is the maximum rank in Ghoul RE. You also need to have the corresponding Kagune, so in this case, you need Ken Kaneki’s V2 Kagune to be able to unlock his Kakuja. Once more Kakuja types are added to the game, you will need the V2 Kagune of whichever ones they are.

Lastly, you need a total of 5 One Eyed Fragments. This material is a drop from the Eto boss raid, though some players report obtaining these fragments when defeating Tatara too.

Available Kakuja

The only Kakuja available at the moment is Ken Kaneki’s Centipede. However, the developers state that there are more Kakuja types in the works for each Kagune, which will be added in future game updates!

  • Centipede
    • Ken Kaneki’s Kakuja
    • You need to obtain Ken Kaneki’s Kagune to be able to use the Centipede Kakuja
