Which pet mutations are the best?

S Tier

  • Ascended
    • 75% to 90% chance of crops getting the Dawnbound mutation, which increases the selling value by x150
      • The only other way to get this mutation is during the rare Sun God event
  • Shocked
    • 25% to 30% chance of crops getting the Shocked mutation, which increases the selling value by x100. But, this only works during a Thunderstorm weather event
      • This mutation is otherwise only obtainable during Thunderstorm and Jandel Storm weather events and via the use of the Shocked Mutation Spray
  • Iron Skin
    • Has a 35% to 45% chance of returning stolen crops to your garden by taking them back from thieves

A Tier

  • Rainbow
    • The passive ability of the pet gets a 20% boost
  • Inverted
    • The pet earns 30% more XP per second, meaning they level up faster, which may boost the power of their passive abilities
  • Mega
    • The pet’s size is much larger than usual, so their Hunger depletion is 20% faster
    • Mega pets obtain 10 to 40 XP per second

B Tier

  • Golden
    • The passive ability of the pet gets a 10% boost
  • Radiant
    • Boosts the Growth Speed of a random crop for 24 hours
  • Tiny
    • The pet’s size is much smaller than usual, so their Hunger depletion is 20% slower
    • Tiny pets obtain 5 to 30 XP per second
  • Frozen
    • 20% to 30% chance of crops getting the Frozen mutation, which increases the selling value by x10
      • This mutation is otherwise only obtainable when a crop has both the Chilled and Drenched/Wet mutations, or by using the Polar Bear pet

C Tier

  • Shiny
    • The pet earns 15% more XP per second, meaning they level up a little bit faster, which may boost the power of their passive abilities
  • Windy
    • 20% to 30% chance of crops getting the Windstruck mutation, which increases the selling value by x2
      • This mutation is otherwise only obtainable during the Gale or Windy weather events
