Luckily, the Heartopia Winter Bird locations are all pretty close to each other. Remember that they only spawn during the Winter Frost event in Heartopia, so don’t miss out. Don’t forget to also take photos of the daily Onsen Eggs – I update my guide on it every day with the latest locations.
Heartopia Winter Bird Locations
During the Winter Frost event, you can find a variety of Winter Birds for your Birdwatching Diary Collection. The main difference between these Winter Birds and regular birds is that they wear super cute winter-themed accessories.

Luckily, all of the Winter Birds tend to spawn around the same areas. You need to regularly visit the various lakes in the Suburbs, which are located around the outside of the central town (refer to the screenshot above for exact locations).
The difficult part is actually spotting them. They don’t replace all other regular bird types, so you’ll still see those which are not winter-themed. If you look at the map above, you can see where I’ve circled each lake around the central town.
Any of these Winter Birds can appear at these locations. You just need to look out for those who wear winter hats and scarves.
As you know, the Birdwatching hobby can be pretty tricky, especially when they fly away before you can get a picture. Getting close enough to see if a bird is wearing winter accessories can be risky.

Birdwatching Diary

The Winter Bird collection is only available throughout the Winter Frost event. Once the event ends, the birds will still appear in the Birdwatching Diary, as long as you were able to take a photo of them beforehand.
This means that if you want to get a 5-star photo of one of these birds, it’s best to look for them as much as possible throughout the Winter Frost season. Remember to always keep the Birdwatching Camera replenished with Repair Kits.
Winter Birdwatching Event
The Birdwatching Event for the Winter Frost season will be available from Week 3. While not much is known of this event just yet, I can surmise what will be included, thanks to the other event Challenges that we have so far.
The Winter Birdwatching Event will most likely require you to take photos of the different Winter Birds, perhaps specific behaviours and poses? As usual, completing these quests will reward you with Fashionwave Tokens, which you can spend in the Fashionwave Store for event-exclusive items.
