With each Grow a Garden pet having a passive ability, you may be wondering how many pets you can have at once in Grow a Garden, and if there’s any way to get more pet upgrades.
How Many Pets Can You Have At Once in Grow a Garden?
When you begin the game, you are given 3 pet slots. This means you can only have 3 pets roaming around in your garden at once. If you attempt to place an unhatched egg down in your garden, it will work, but once hatched, you’ll need to either put it in your inventory or put a pet you already have in your inventory.
How To Get More Pet Slots
3 isn’t a lot, especially if you have multiple great pets you want to use at the same time in your garden. Pet buffs do stack, so it makes sense you’ll want to have multiple!
You can get an additional 5 pet slots if you trade aged pets. To trade pets, head to the Pet Stall and speak to Raphael. A screen will appear showing you how many additional slots you can get.
If you want to get an extra slot, you’ll need to have aged pets, as each slot has an age requirement.
Older Pets
To get older pets, you need to feed them! If you don’t feed your pets, nothing happens to them. However, feeding them will make them older and increase their value. Depending on the rarity of the pet will determine what you need to feed them. Usually, the rarer the pet, the rarer the crop you need to give them.
Feeding your pets will also make them bigger, which is always fun to see! Some pets also have passive abilities that give other pets more XP. This contributes to a pet’s age as well.
