The Dig Butterfly Shovel is one of the newest additions to the game, but how do you get it? You might be able to speed up the process by improving your Stats in Dig!

Dig Butterfly Shovel

An aesthetic and useful shovel that comes with a free cosmetic.

How to Get the Butterfly Shovel in Dig

To obtain the Butterfly Shovel, you first need to make your way to the Rooftop Woodlands. Look for the NPC called Misses Lavender, who has pink hair and wears a pastel purple cardigan with clouds. By speaking with her, you unlock the required quest.

To complete this quest, you need to:

  • Obtain the Shortcake Shovel
  • Feed a total of 60 goats
  • Reach level 20
  • Collect 10 Morpho Butterflies

If you’re not sure about how to feed goats, you need to find them around Verdant Vale. Approach them, and the option to feed them appears!

Butterfly Shovel Stats

Now that you know how to get the shovel, do its stats and passive abilities make it worth the effort?

  • DMG to bosses: 70
  • Luck: 22
  • Control: 7
  • Haste: 9
  • Strength: 9

Passive Ability

When using the Butterfly Shovel, you have a 25% chance of collecting items with the Plum modifier – this modifier doubles the selling value of the item. This is the only way of getting Plum items! As well as this, the Butterfly Shovel also replenishes your Endurance stat over time.

The higher your Endurance, the slower the Endurance Bar depletes. The Endurance Bar is the bar with the heart, and if it makes its way to the other end, the minigame fails. There are Charms and Totems you can equip to improve your overall Endurance stat.

Butterfly Shovel Skins

There is one cosmetic skin available for the Butterfly Shovel as of right now, and it’s the Monarch Skin! This changes the colour scheme to an autumnal red and orange.

So, how do you unlock it? All you have to do is obtain the Butterfly Shovel, and you automatically gain access to the cosmetic.
