Dig Monstrous Shovel
Is this shovel monstrously powerful or monstrously bad?
How to Get the Monstrous Shovel in Dig
If you want the Monstrous Shovel for yourself in Dig, you need to battle against the Molten Monstrosity boss. The shovel has a 35% chance of dropping, making it one of the more common drops from this boss.
The Molten Monstrosity is located at Mount Charcoal and can only be spawned with the Blue Moon Horn item. You need access to the Second Island if you wish to visit Mount Charcoal. You can reach the Second Island by taking the Ferry at Cinder Shores on Cinder Island.
To get the Blue Moon Horn, you must head to Alona Jungle on the Second Island, where you can purchase the item for 200K in-game coins. This item is also used to spawn the Blue Moon Weather Event.
Monstrous Shovel Stats
The Monstrous Shovel certainly stands out when it comes to its DMG to bosses, making it a great option for anyone planning to fight against a powerful foe. Its Luck stat is pretty good too!
- Luck: 30
- Haste: 5
- Control: 9
- DMG to bosses: 60
- Strength: 10
Passive Ability
The Monstrous Shovel’s passive ability grants you a 50% chance of obtaining items that have the Dark modifier. This modifier increases the selling value of said item by 1.1x.
While a 1.1x boost isn’t the largest in the game, the fact that it’s a 50% chance is a great incentive! Some shovels only provide a small chance of getting a modified item, so you’re almost guaranteed to get a Dark item the majority of the time.
