The Dig Solstice Shovel isn’t the easiest shovel to get, but is it worth the effort? We also have a walkthrough on how to get the Starfire Shovel in Dig! It’s arguably a better shovel than the Solstice, but both are good options.
Dig Solstice Shovel
There are a few requirements to meet before you can get the Solstice Shovel!
How to Get the Solstice Shovel in Dig
The Solstice Shovel requires you to venture into the depths of the Cinder Cavern. To get to the Cinder Cavern, you need to open your map and look for the short road that leads into the mountain within Fernhill Forest. Once inside, you must speak with the Elevator NPC and pay with in-game coins to travel further down.
The Solstice Shrine is located within the Cinder Cavern and features three pillars with pedestals. You need to place 3 Basilisks on each pedestal to unlock access to the Solstice Shovel. Once you can purchase the shovel, it costs a total of 190K in-game coins.
Keep in mind that the Cinder Cavern can be a little confusing to explore, as its maze-like layout causes some difficulty when trying to find specific areas.
How to Get Basilisks
To obtain Basilisks for the Solstice Shrine pedestals, you have to defeat the Basilisk boss in the Copper Messa. The Basilisk item has a 30% chance of dropping, and you need a total of 3 to unlock the Solstice Shovel.
Solstice Shovel Stats
The base stats of the shovel!

The Venomous modifier increases the selling value of items by 2x, whereas the Shiny modifier boosts the selling value by 3x.
Additionally, you can power up the Solstice Shovel further by equipping the Solstice Bell Charm. This increases your Luck by 15 and Haste by 3. The Solstice Bell Charm costs 19K in-game coins from the Alona Jungle.
