To complete the new Grow a Garden event, you’ll need to know how to get the Grow a Garden Moonlit Mutation for your crops so you can get the Grow a Garden Lunar Glow Rewards.

How To Get The Grow a Garden Moonlit Mutation

The only way your crops can get the Moonlit Mutation is during the Night weather event. This happens once an hour and will last 10 minutes. The good news is that this weather can also stack with other weather events!

What Does It Do?

Appearance-wise, if your crop has the Moonlit Mutation, the fruit changes its hue of colour. For example, green crops will become purple. It matches the night and lunar aesthetic from this update perfectly.

However, alongside looking good, if a crop has this mutation, the value will increase by x2 more than the original amount. Making it a nice way to earn profit when you sell them.

Why Do You Need Crops With The Moonlit Mutation?

Aside from being able to make a profit through selling fruit, you’ll also need crops with the Moonlit Mutation if you want to complete the limited-time Lunar Glow Event. During this, you need to bring fruits that have the mutation to the Wise Old Owl.

In exchange, you will obtain Lunar Points. Depending on the rarity of the crop will determine how many points you have. You can then use these points to obtain various rewards, such as the Grow a Garden Night Seed Pack.

Other Ways To Get The Moonlit Mutation

Instead of waiting for the Night weather event to happen, you can also use the Night Staff. When placing this down, it will give a random crop the Moonlit Mutation. You can find out more about this item in our Grow a Garden Night Staff guide.
