How to Tame a Shark in Rune Slayer

If you want to get across the ocean much faster, it’s a good idea to get an aquatic mount, like the Shark! Once you find one, you need to tame it.

First, head to the beach at Tralorshire and walk to the dock area that is to the left of the village. Make your way past the dock to find an NPC standing on the sand by the water whilst holding a leash attached to a sea creature. This is Bijon the Sea Master!

By speaking with him, you unlock the quest that grants you a sea saddle. This item is a major requirement when you plan to use an aquatic mount – you can’t use them otherwise! The first part of the quest asks you to collect 3 Mutated Meat.

Finding Mutated Meat For the Sea Saddle

Mutated Meat is an item that drops from Mutated Frogs. You can find this enemy type around Tralorshire, with an appearance similar to a giant frog with sharp orange claws and spikes.

After you collect the required amount, you can head back to Bijon the Sea Master. He then gives you a Sea Saddle as a reward!

Where to Find Sharks

Next, it’s time to head into the ocean to find a Shark. Now that you have a Sea Saddle, you can easily tame one! Swim to the middle area of the water and wait for a Shark to spawn. They appear pretty regularly, so this won’t take too long!

As soon as one spawns, make sure you have the Mutated Meat handy, as this is what tames the Shark. Go over to it, hand over the Mutated Meat and then equip it with the Sea Saddle. Once you do this, you can instantly start using it as a mount.
