How To Tame Adult Spiders in Rune Slayer
Adult Spiders lurk in the Spider Cave, spawning rarely versus their lesser Baby Spider kin. To tame one, players must have the Beast Tamer sub-class unlocked, and approach one with a Mandrake Root to feed.
The Beast Tamer sub-class resides under the Archer Branch, and players must be level 30+ to unlock it. As for Mandrake Roots, they drop from defeating Mandrakes in the Farm, and the Mandrake King Boss under the farm.
Once loyal to the player, they’ll be able to summon their pet arachnid by holding the ‘T’ button. Pressing it again will change the status of the mob from passive, to stay, and aggressive. Riding mountable pets such as the Adult Spider requires completing the level 20+ saddle quest to obtain a saddle which equips to the pet.
About Pets
Each tameable mob has a food preference which has the chance to tame them. When taming animals, first they need to aggro onto the player. Next, hold their preferred food and a red heart will spin above their head as they’ll become temporarily docile. Taming them falls to RNG and isn’t a guarantee even if their favourite snack is on hand, they may eat it and then return to aggression. So, go prepared and take extra stock! If the mob doesn’t accept the food and tame, kill them and find a new counterpart.
