The update isn’t out until tomorrow, but I’m going to speculate on how to tame animals in 99 Nights in the Forest and what else this update may include, so you have an idea of what to expect!

How To Tame Animals in 99 Nights in the Forest
From the update feature image shared through Roblox, we see a player kneeling beside a Wolf, Alpha Wolf, and a Bear. So, we at least know of three confirmed mobs which players can tame when this update goes live. All three pets are typically hostile and carnivorous, so I think this gives us a good idea of how they’ll tame.
- Feeding
- It makes sense that food would tame animals. After all, that’s pretty much how we domesticated wolves in the first place to get dogs. Food builds trust between species, and we already have different meats available in the main game that Wolves and Bears would find palatable.
- New Item:
- There is a chance that the DEVs will add a new item into the game, which players must craft or find, that allows them to tame wild animals. This would make sense as having allied animals gives players a huge upper hand during raids and other conflicts. So I don’t think the DEVs want their game to be too easy to complete if taming is as simple as feeding.
What Can Tamed Animals Do?
Tamed animals serve a few purposes. I’d like to point out and remind you that the event page on Roblox shows a player with a Wolf, Alpha Wolf, and Bear. These three animals are naturally hostile to the player and are the only three mobs seen wearing collars to protect the gates where each of the four children is held.
What I’m saying is, they’re the only ‘Tamed’ animals we’ve encountered before this update. So, we will likely get a collared animal of our own that fights alongside us during campfire raids or wilderness exploration. Pets may attack other hostiles, or be useful for fetching certain things, such as hunting rabbits and returning their Morsels and Bunny Feet.
New Class
It goes without saying that the DEVs will likely include a new Class tailored to taming animals. I’d like to wager the class gets the name Beast Tamer or Man’s Best Friend.
Remember…
Remember that all I shared here is purely speculation from one avid player to another. I’ll be tuning into the update sometime over the weekend, so I’ll update this guide with the correct information then! Please feel free to check back.
