What’s your current player level in Fisch? Once you unlock the new map, you have access to a range of new Fisch Second Sea rods, which you can purchase with the new in-game currency, Embercoins.
How to Unlock the Fisch Second Sea
There are 2 major requirements to meet before you can even think about accessing the Second Sea map. Firstly, you need to reach a player level of 200 so that you can face off against the Cthulhu Boss. The Second Sea includes 7 new islands, as well as the ocean with a fresh Bestiary.
Cthulu Boss
After you reach player level 200, you need to enter the Dreamer’s Crypt on Terrapin Island. When outside the crypt, you must speak to the Sea Traveler NPC. Inside, you can find the Silas NPC, whom you need to speak with to activate the Cthulu boss fight. He won’t let you through if you are not at least level 200, though there are reports that the recommended level is 250. However, being level 200 seems to work too!
Walk down the passageway to the boss arena and wait for the cutscene to begin (you may have to stand on the swirling whirlpool on the ground for it to start). Once the cutscene finishes, the boss fight begins – good luck! You must defeat Cthulu to gain access to the Second Sea map.
After the Cthulu Boss
After defeating the Cthulu boss fight, yet another short cutscene plays before you teleport to the Second Sea. Here, you can find the Sea Traveler NPC again, who teleports you between the First Sea and Second Sea maps.
From here, you can access all of the new locations within the Second Sea, as well as the new rods and items. Luckily, you only need to fight Cthulu once!
