Grow a Garden Pet Shards
Pet Shards are a type of Gear in Grow a Garden. Their main use is to give pets a mutation that they do not have. With the addition of Pet Mutations, there is a chance of pets getting certain mutations when they hatch. However, with Pet Shards, you can purposely apply a mutation to the pet.
If the pet already has a mutation, this may overwrite it with the new one, or may add to it. As this is a new feature, it’s not clear if this is the case yet!
Tranquil Pet Shard
The Tranquil Pet Shard is currently the only Pet Shard available in Grow a Garden. It is of Divine rarity, and it’s used to apply the Tranquil mutation to a pet in your garden.
If you have a Tranquil pet in your garden, it applies the Tranquil mutation to a random crop in your garden every 25 minutes or so. Traquil pets have a 3.12% chance of hatching naturally, but with a Tranquil Pet Shard, it’s a guarantee!
The selling value of crops with the Tranquil mutation increases by x20. The only other ways of getting this crop mutation is during the Zen Aura weather event and by placing the Tanchozuru pet in your garden.
How to Get the Tranquil Pet Shard
To obtain a Tranquil Pet Shard, you must visit the Tranquil Treasures shop to purchase one with 200 Chi. As this shop is part of the Zen event update, it is only available for a limited time, unless the developers plan to make it a permanently obtainable item.
Will Pet Shards Become a Feature?
The addition of the Tranquil Pet Shard opens the door to more Pet Shards being added to Grow a Garden in the future. As of right now, we don’t know which mutations will be available via Pet Shards. This can either be already-existing mutations or new ones!
Pet Shards are a Gear type, which means there’s a high chance that the Tranquil Pet Shard is not the only one.
