What Is The Code?

The code is:

8137

You can enter it at the end of Chapter 2, when you’ve read through the files on your desk. Enter the code to get access to two more pages.

Why Is The Code 8137?

The 137 shows up earlier on in the file, being the day (13th) and the year (1997) that ELC Inc, the shady company mentioned in the files, was declared bankrupt. We’d kind of expected it to be 7137 for this reason, as the date that’s the code would refer to a month after the incident… which could be the date for the events of the game. That’s the best we got right now.

What’s In The Secret File?

Inside you’ll find some more details about the shifty goings-on at ELC Inc, and the strange experiments they were doing. They appear to be attempting to transfer someone’s consciousness from one body to another. Presumably this could potentially allow someone to live forever, but it didn’t seem to be going well. Project was overseen by:

Date: 1/2/1997
Project 12 was a biological experiment to create a new body for Brian Grover. The project was a complete success and allowed Brian Grover to be given a new body. It is currently unknown if the transfer of Brian Grover’s conscious was successful.

As of 1/3/1997, Brian Grover is acting completely normal and claims to be conscious. However, is is currently unknown if her is truely (sic) conscious or a ghost of his former self. A hypothesis currently spreading around the office is that Brian Grover died when the conscious transfer took place and the brain is simply “pretending to be conscious” in simple terms.

This theory is highly plausible due to his brain scans. Much more research is required before this technology is to be presented to the public.”

“The Silent Floor

A recent discovery of a completely undisclosed area of the ELC Inc Capital Building has yet to be documented. It is important to not that despite its name, the area of the building covered over 50 floors and extended at least 2,000 feet deep.

The sale of the “silent floor” is not known and is estimated to be around 150 Miles deep.

Only 2 recovery teams have been inside the silent floor.

The “silent floor” was built by Dr.Saladin without the permission of CEO Alan Fletcher. The parties funding the construction and opperation (sic) of the “silent floor” is unknown. All presonal (sic) who opperated (sic) or had an association with the “silent floor” have gone missing. The entire area is completely silent, thus the name.

Many doors within this area of the building are locked and reinforced causing huge difficulties in acquiring information. There are currently no leads on this investigation and has caused the deconstruction of the ELC Inc. Capital Building.”
