Dig Frigid Shovel Obtainment
The Frigid Shovel hails from Mount Cinder, found inside the Glacial Hollow for $75,000. It’s one of the few tools with a Rock ground preference, but don’t let that put you off. This Shovel works great on both terrains, thanks to the Frigid Shovel nestling into the stage 3 category.
Stage 3 Shovels is a tier reserved for those bridging the gap between the early and late game, often with well-balanced stats that make it easier to secure higher rarity items. But enough of that, let’s get into the fun stuff!
How To Find The Glacial Hollow
First, drive up to Mount Cinder, passing through Rooftop Woodlands and then up Cinder Approach. When you enter Mount Cinder, you’ll notice a village and a large open area beyond it. Head slightly right and forward until you see a spiked and dark cave. Enter this, and head to the right through the thinning slip and follow it into the cave until you see the Frigid Shovel sticking out of the ice.
Frigid Shovel Stats and Abilities
The Frigid Shovel has the following stats.
- Control: 5.5
- Strength: 9
- Haste: 4.5
- Luck: 22
- Boss Damage: 50
- Preferred Ground: Rock
Alongside this, it has a 30% chance to apply the Frigid Mutation to found items, which enhances their value by 1.8x.
From its base stats, we see that the Frigid Shovel has incredible Luck, alongside well-balanced Control and Strength, with its Haste and Boss Damage slightly falling short. Because of this, I recommend enchanting this tool with Swift to enjoy +15% more Haste, totalling approximately 5.2 Haste.
