Not sure where to find the boss?
Elder Treant Location
To find the Elder Treant boss, you need to head to the Greatwood Forest. This forest area differs from the main Wilderness, and is closer to Ashenshire than Wayshire. The Elder Treant spawns nearby to Ashenshire too!
Elder Treant Drops
When defeating the Elder Treant, you have a chance of obtaining the following items:
- Elder Rune
- Elder Vine
- Golden Fairy
- Elder Greatwood
- Elder Ring
The main reason why people like to farm the Elder Treant boss is because of the Golden Fairy drop. This Fairy type increases your rolls by 3 whenever you defeat a boss or regular mob. The more you level up the Golden Fairy pet, the higher your overall Luck is, gaining a 0.1x boost per level.
The other item drops are used in crafting for weapons and armor. Depending on your class and the upgrades you require, you may need some of these resources!
How to Beat the Elder Treant
Taking the Treant’s height into consideration, it mostly deals damage by using its legs. Keep a close eye on them at all times to see where the boss is about to attack. You have a small amount of time to spot where its leg will land!
When it tries to grab a player, there’s a small window of time where you can evade, getting away from the Treant to avoid its clutches.
Moves
- Kick
- The Elder Treant likes to kick with its legs, and with the boss being so tall, this is pretty difficult to avoid
- You cannot parry this move
- Stomp
- Again, with its long legs, the boss stomps on the ground with a singular leg, creating an AoE rumble that deals damage to all those nearby
- Grab
- Watch out for when the Elder Treant crouches down, as it tries to grab the player closest to it
- Vine Stomp
- The boss summons a variety of vines adorned with spikes that cover the ground, dealing damage to anyone hit by them
