The Rune Slayer Reputation system is a little difficult to wrap your head around, but you get to reap the rewards as you rank up!
Demon Sect of a Holy Knight? You can choose in Rune Slayer! Learn more about both in our Rune Slayer Factions guide or find out which rewards you can get by increasing your Reputation rank with our Rune Slayer Faction Rank Rewards guide.
Rune Slayer Reputation
If you’re part of a Faction, and you want to rank up, you need to increase your Reputation by earning Rating Points. Depending on the amount of Rating Points you have, you can climb up the ranking ladder, granting you access to new weapons and armor.
You can’t earn Rating Points and Reputation without joining a Faction, so make sure to do that first. It doesn’t matter whether you opt for the Demon Sect or the Knight’s Templar, though the rewards on offer differ.
How to Get Rating Points and Rank Up
The best way to rank up and earn Rating Points in Rune Slayer is by defeating opponents. Members of the Demon Sect faction have an advantage, as they do not gain a penalty when defeating members of the Knight’s Templar.
A lot of players take to the game’s Discord server to look for a group that is happy to trade and farm Reputation. You need to head to the ‘LFG’ channel! You’ll have to skim through some messages or search for Reputation/Rating Points for your specific faction, as there are a lot of people in the channel that are asking for boss farming for drops.
You earn more Reputation by defeating those at a higher rank than you, which is something to keep in mind! You can defeat the same person up to 4 times to obtain the maximum amount of Rep. After the fourth defeat, you won’t get any more, and the same goes for your opponent.
