What’s the point of the Cleaning Spray in Grow a Garden? Find out in this guide why some players might choose to buy this gear despite its seemingly unhelpful use.

What’s The Point of The Cleaning Spray in Grow a Garden?
The Cleaning Spray is a Divine rarity Gear, costing 15,000,000 sheckles. For this hefty price, you’d expect a useful tool that aids in profits and garden progression, right? Right…?
Instead, you’ll receive a Gear which, on use, removes all the mutations from a selected plant, cleaning it of its abnormalities (x10 uses). Seems counterproductive, so what’s the point?
Grow a Garden Aesthetics
Since the cosmetic update, Grow a Garden became less about profits and more about customisation and tailoring your space. Some players still chase the next meta seed and aim to be the richest, whilst others prefer the more humble and relaxing gameplay.
So, imagine framing your builds strategically with beautiful crops, only for something as bulky as the Frozen mutation to ruin the view… This is where the Cleaning Spray comes in, as it allows you to keep the crop but wipe out its mutations.
That said, you could just harvest the crop and sell it since it’ll eventually grow back. Or, may I present another alternative:
Just Get a Butterfly!
Hailing from the Anti-bee Egg with a 1% hatch chance, the Butterfly works similarly to the Cleaning Spray but better! Instead of removing all mutations, this pet targets crops with 5+ mutations every 30 minutes, removes them, and replaces them with Rainbow (x50 Value).
You can’t really go wrong with the Rainbow mutation. It’s high-value and looks stunning, so it won’t ruin any aesthetics. Plus, you won’t need to invest sheckles into removing any mutations if you hatch the Butterfly as it takes care of all that for you!
