One question that I can’t get out of my mind is which Fisch Merchant Brother is blind? Although you don’t get a reward for finding out, I’ve taken it upon myself to do some digging, or fishing rather, to find out!

You can play Fisch over on Roblox. I also have a Things You Didn’t Know In Fisch guide that gives you some tips and tricks.

Which Fisch Merchant Brother Is Blind?

When you are waiting to load into the game, tips and trivia can appear at the bottom, with one of them saying: “One of the Merchant Brothers are blind. I won’t tell you which one though.” All of the brothers look the same, so how do you tell?

As this fact was in the game when it was first released, I’ve ruled out all of the Merchant Brothers that have appeared in newer locations. Some people believed it could be the Synth NPC in Vertigo, as he acts as a merchant. However, I’m sticking to the NPCs who have ‘Merchant’ above their head. So this leaves me with the brothers who reside in Moosewood, Roslit Bay, Snowcap Isle, and Sunstone. As these were all there on release.

How Can You Find Out?

I love a good mystery, so I put on my ultra deduction glasses (yes, that is a Bungo Stray Dogs reference) to find out! I started by going to each of the four Merchant Brothers and sold them a White Perch without any mutations. The Moosewood brother gave me 67C$, Roslit 47C$, Snowcap 40C$, and Sunstone 34C$. I tried to keep the weight as close as possible, so they weighed between 0.4-06kg.

As you can see, there was a large difference in pricing from the Moosewood and Sunstone brothers compared to the others. This made me rule out Roslit and Snowcap, despite some rumours speculating it was the Roslit Bay brother. I then spent some time selling the same rarity of fish to both the brothers in Moosewood and Sunstone. On average, the Sunstone brother always gave me less cash. When I both handed them a Big White Perch, the Moosewood brother gave me 94C$, whilst the Sunstone brother gave me 87C$.

Who Is It?

Don’t get me wrong, there were times when all four brothers gave me the same, if not very similar cash. When selling a mix of fish with different rarities, weights, mutations, and even the same weight – The Sunstone Merchant Brother on average gave me less.

Another theory that I’ve thought about is that maybe it is the Sunstone brother because he is the only one not at a stall. Perhaps he is standing because he can’t see, and therefore can’t set up his stall like the others can. But that’s just a theory, a game theory.
