A complete guide on the Evomon Clipdow evolution line, from how to get one, what they evolve into, and when to add them to your team. As well as Clipdow, there’s another new evolution line to obtain in Evomon. Introducing the Clanxor Evomon, another boss-turned-obtainable-creature.

Evomon Clipdow

Clipexor is probably my favourite design in the entire game, overtaking the Wispuff evolution line for me. However, the main appeal of the Clipdown evolution line might just be down to its appearance. Or perhaps it’s one of the strongest Normal-type Evomon.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The Clipdow evolution line has a pretty straightforward type chart due to it being a Normal-type Evomon. This reduces the amount of weaknesses, but also means Clipdow, Cliphas, and Clipexor don’t specifically have any elemental strengths.

Strong Against

Because Clipdow and its evolutions use the Normal element, they aren’t particularly strong against any other elements in Evomon.

Weak To

Takes 2x more DMG from Evomon using this Element.

Resistant To

Extra resistance against these Elements, reducing incoming DMG to 0.5x.

Best Evomon Against the Clipdow Evolution Line

Before starting a fight with Clipdow, Cliphas, or Clipexor, make sure you know which Evomon are the best to add to your team. You’re focusing on those that use Elements that the Clipdown evolution line is weak to. In this case, it’s the Fighting element.

When to Use the Clipdow Evolution Line in Your Team

If you find yourself battling against Evomon that use the Psychic or Dark elements, then it’s best to add Clipdow, Cliphas, or Clipexor to your team.

Psychic

  • Datubud and Datunymph
    • These Evomon also use the Grass element, which has no additional effect against Clipdow, Cliphas, or Clipexor
  • Starloop and Starmuse
  • Wispuff, Wispshade, and Wisphex
    • These Evomon also use the Poison element, which has no additional effect against Clipdow, Cliphas, or Clipexor

Dark

  • Clanx and Clanxor
    • These Evomon also use the Steel element, which has no additional effect against Clipdow, Cliphas, or Clipexor

How to Get Clipdow

To get Clipdow, you need to battle against the Dark King Clipexor boss on Lunaria Isle. Upon defeat, you’re rewarded with the Clipdow Evomon. From there, you can level up to evolve Clipdow into Cliphas, and then into its final form, Clipexor.

Evolution

The Clipdow evolution line features three Evomon: Clipdow, Cliphas, and Clipexor. You’ll recognise the third form as the boss on Lunaria Isle, known as the Dark King Clipexor.

The main difference between this boss and the actual Clipexor Evomon is that the Dark King Clipexor boss uses the Dark element, whereas the regular Clipexor uses the Normal element.

Clipdow

First form.
