This player-made guide tells you how to increase your Partner Bond in Digimon UP, including each tier reward, so you know exactly what’s in store for making a bestie out of your chosen Digimon.

How To Increase Partner Bond in Digimon UP

Quite simply, you need to press the little icon that appears above your Partner Digimon every 25 minutes or so. This little food icon increases their bond with you by +5, and despite being a food icon, it isn’t affiliated with the in-game food gardens and feeding mechanic.

What is Partner Bond?

Press Digimon from the bottom hotbar, Partner, and then the heart-hand icon (Partner Bond) next to your Digimon’s avatar. This shows you your current bonding level. Ultimately, it doesn’t contribute much to the overall game aside from being a check-in with few rewards attached.

Partner Bond Level Rewards

There are 10 Partner Bond levels in total, with all awarding 300 DigiEmeralds per milestone. However, after reaching the final reward tier, you’ll also unlock a new profile picture icon of your current Digimon in its second digivolution form.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Partner Bond reset if I swap my Partner?

Yes, the Partner Bond is non-transferable between Digimon, and you’ll need to start from level 1 for each new Partner you enlist.

How often does my Digimon prompt for bonding?

Roughly every 25 minutes. Each interaction gains +5 Bonding.

Do the Meat Fields/Eat increase the Bonding Level?

No. The Meat Fields allow you to grow food, and the Eat area lets you feed your Digimon. When they eat, they roll for a random stat enhancement, increasing or decreasing a primary buff depending on the roll.

At level increments, you will unlock multiple stat buff slots, letting you gain additional power.

What are DigiEmeralds?

DigiEmeralds are an in-game currency, most commonly used for the once-daily summons for Buddy Rolls and SP Support Rolls (though they also let you fast-track the various Battle Passes and buy new tiers). They’re a pretty common reward from Missions, Dungeons, Battle Passes, Idle Rewards, and Login Rewards.

It seems you’ve stumbled upon my bio! I’m Sho, your local weeb. Off the clock I am typically watching anime, reading manga, or doing art. I think it’s safe to say that all my unpaid thoughts revolve around anime… That said, watch One Piece! (Or don’t, I’m just a biography.)
